AUSTRAC Urges Inactive Digital Currency Exchange Firms to Withdraw Registrations
The Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) has recently made a significant move by calling on inactive digital currency exchange (DCE) firms to withdraw their registrations promptly. Failure to do so could result in the cancellation of their registrations, according to AUSTRAC’s official announcement. Establishment of a Publicly Searchable DCE Register
In addition to cracking down on inactive DCE services, AUSTRAC intends to establish a publicly searchable DCE register. This platform will enable citizens to verify the legitimacy of cryptocurrency providers and confirm their compliance with regulatory requirements.
